“Central to William Wood’s planned corporate community was the great Shawsheen Mill Complex. Dominating the entire village were the Shawsheen Woolen Mills Nos 1 and 2 together with a ten story, octagonal wool warehouse and dye house. This complex was designed by W.B. Knowlton of Boston and built by the Turner Construction Company.”
